The Day That creates beautiful high-quality photographs of dawn in the West Country. With a collection covering every day since Summer 2005, customers can order a photograph celebrating the start of a significant day, such as a wedding or birth. The company’s unique and elegant pieces have won praise from celebrities such as Sir Elton John and Emma Bunton.
We were commissioned to redesign the The Day That’s website, solving some of the problems of the existing design:
- Firstly, the site needed to showcase the attractiveness and impact of The Day That’s products. Using the WordPress platform, we implemented a new style (developed by their marketing team) that now displays their range to its best advantage.
- The second challenge was more technical: the site needed to display a new product range, but retain the existing purchasing system. We were able to change and enhance the code to achieve this.
- Lastly, we managed a change to the company’s hosting arrangements, moving their extensive database of images to the cloud.
Throughout this substantial project, we worked in close collaboration with members of The Day That’s team to produce a website that looks gorgeous and delivers a seamless customer experience.
