Louise Watson

Louise Watson is an author and blogger who writes principally about personal growth, spirituality and overcoming problems such as depression, negativity and low self-esteem. Louise broke out of her own thirty year cycle of negativity, and now uses her own experience to help others through her writing. We worked with Louise (a self-confessed technophobe) to produce a site that met her needs: an easily-updated blog; sections introducing and promoting her books; and links to sales outlets, social media profiles and other websites on which she is active.

Update June 2016 – relaunch of website

In addition to being an author and blogger, Louise also teaches mediation, offering lessons over Skype and in person. Louise’s training with the British School of Meditation, and her personal experience of meditation, means she is well-equipped to teach this fascinating and beneficial practice.

Teaching meditation is now at the forefront of Louise’s online interests, and she wanted her site to reflect this. She therefore commissioned us to redesign her existing site.

The website needed a fresh new look to signal Louise’s change in direction. The image of sunlight through trees seemed an attractive metaphor for what meditation could achieve, so this was used as a background. Louise had built up a large number of blog entries, and needed the new site to show this content. We therefore included prominent links to her existing posts.

As an accomplished writer herself, Louise supplied the copy. However, we made some tweaks to optimise it for the web. We are also supplying support documentation to help Louise update the site herself.

We’ve included an entry about Louise’s site on our blog and you can visit the completed website at louisemwatson.com.

All my questions were answered quickly and in a way that I (a technophobe) could understand, but without being patronising. You took my ideas into consideration and produced a site which is exactly in the style/feel that I wanted...A lot of work was obviously put into the design with the three possible concepts. I've already had some great comments about the look of the site, the font, colours and layout. Thank you for a great site!
