Stephen Hughes Homes & Gardens are a family-owned horticultural business with many years’ experience. Their topiary service sources and delivers the best quality plants at affordable prices, as well as helping customers make the best choices for their gardens.
The owners wanted a website to support their marketing and appearances at garden shows. As a small business offering a straightforward service, there was no need for an enormous, sprawling site. In fact, a home page, gallery page and contact page were sufficient to meet the company’s needs.
However, the site still needed to be impactful, and so we opted for a simple elegant design. A good hi-res picture of Stephen with some of his topiary was placed front-and-centre. This not only shows off the trees, but also helps establish the company as a real local business, rather than a huge impersonal franchise. To accompany it, we wrote some persuasive content, emphasising the company’s principal selling points. This was kept short and to the point.
